How much are you paying for your Insulin?
Diabetes is a chronic and often debilitating disease which affects over 9% of the USA population and over 25% of all American seniors. If left untreated, diabetes is scary and can be deadly. Consequences of uncontrolled diabetes can include infections, kidney disease, heart disease, vision problems, and amputations. Here at Canada Cloud Pharmacy, we frequently hear from frustrated American families that their medication is unaffordable and about the various sacrifices they have to make in their life just so they can continue treatment. Our goal at Canada Cloud Pharmacy is to help alleviate that pressure and to help all people, Canadian and American, obtain medication and improve their health and wellbeing.
The insulin prices you see on this website are independent of your health insurance coverage. The only thing you need to order insulin from Canada Cloud Pharmacy is a valid prescription from your doctor or veterinarian.
All insulin products are shipped with pharmaceutical grade cold-bricks which are colder than ice. These help the medication stay cooler for a longer period of time.
Insulin Shipping Awareness
We encourage our patients to avoid ordering refrigerated products in summer and winter. Our goal at Canada Cloud Pharmacy is to provide affordable medication safely and effectively. We do not ship temperature sensitive items in temperature extremes. We do encourage our patients to stock up on medication in spring and fall, when the weather is more forgiving, so that they can have enough medication to last through summer and winter.
Call us today with any questions you may have. We have thousands of prescription and non-prescriptions items available all with significant cost savings. Here in Canada Cloud Pharmacy, we communicate health to put you and your family first
Causes of Diabetes
There are two main types of diabetes: type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.
Type 1 diabetics produce no, or very little, insulin and as a result, their blood sugar builds up in the blood and cannot be used as energy. This form of diabetes usually develops in childhood but can sometimes develop in adolescence or in adulthood. The cause of type 1 diabetes is still unknown but it is theorized that the disease occurs when the body's immune system destroys the cells that make insulin.
Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body can't properly use the insulin that is released (ie. insulin resistance) or does not make enough insulin. Type 2 diabetes can be hereditary - if you have a family member with the disease, you'll have a greater chance of developing type 2 diabetes. There are also many lifestyle choices that can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes such as lack of exercise, unhealthy food choices, and poor weight management.
Symptoms of Diabetes
It is possible to have diabetes but not display any symptoms. However, in most cases, signs and symptoms include:
Tingling in extremities
Wounds that are slow to heal
Diagnosis of Diabetes
Your doctor may want to test the amount of sugar in your blood to determine if you have diabetes by performing tests such as fasting blood glucose, random blood glucose, or A1C.
Living with Diabetes
Insulin therapy is required for type 1 diabetes. There are a variety of insulins available in a variety of dosage forms. Your doctor will help you determine how many injections you need daily, the dose for each injection, and when you need to inject.
Some patients with type 2 diabetes may develop the need for insulin injections as their disease progresses. Please consult your doctor to determine if this is applicable to you.
